Upcoming Parent Viewing weeks

Monday Nov. 16-22.

This is your opportunity to watch classes in progress and your dancer within the class setting. This also gives you an opportunity to baseline your dancers progress.

It is especially important for parents of little ones to see the milestones.  A plie on stage may look like a simple plie, but when you see it earlier in the year and what it looks like then, you won't take it for granted.

Reminders:

students are continuing to come to class without their hair properly secured or tied back off the face.  This really interferes with choreography.

Hip Hop Shoes:  please make sure all hip hop shoes are "indoor shoes only" and not worn from the car into the studio.  The dirt tracked in to the studio is a safety concern for other dancers.

Shoes/boots should not be left on the floor of the entry area.

Please put them on the recepticles provided.  It seems this must be a constant reminder every year.  Please cooperate in eliminating this problem.

Garbage-

As you may have noticed, there are very few recepticles for garbage.

Please be aware that The Art of Dance is leaning towards an eco-friendly environment.  Should you bring snack in back-packs, please return all wrappers, containers, sandwich bags etc back into back-pack.  Garbage collection is once a week (Thursdays) so if dancers throw out oranges and apple cores on a Monday, the fruit flies have plenty of time to multiply.

It would be most helpful if cups and drink boxes are emptied first before disposed.

Last Call to order school Hoodies!! Deadline is Nov. 7th.

These make excellent Christmas Gifts, and are worn over dance leotards in the Winter months when studio feels cool in temperature.

We would like to draw your attention to The Calendar of Events received at registration and posted on this web-site.

We will begin our Christmas Holiday on Monday Dec.21st. Classes will reconvene Monday January 4^th.
